4 juveniles taken to hospital after rollover crash

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. —

Four juveniles were taken to the hospital after a  rollover crash in Osceola County early Friday morning.

Investigators said a 2004 Ford Explorer struck a tree and rolled onto its side, landing in woods near Funie Steed Road, which is a dirt road, and Formosa Gardens Boulevard.

The driver of the Explorer, Alexander Freijo, 18, reported that he had to take action to avoid another car, which was traveling the opposite way on Funie Steed Road.

Freijo walked away from the crash, but his four male passengers -- a 12-year-old, a 15-year-old and two 16-year-olds -- were transported to Celebration Hospital and ORMC. One had to be airlifted, officials said.

Officials don’t know what caused the crash. Charges are pending.
