TAVARES, Fla. —
Police in Tavares are investigating after a group of armed robbers stole her purse on Monday.
Police said at least three men were involved in the robbery in the Kohl’s parking lot along East Burleigh Boulevard.
The victim was a middle-aged woman who called 911 for help after the robbers fled.
Tavares police worked with the Lake County Sheriff's office, which put its helicopter in the sky to help search for the robbers.
Police have not said whether they have identified a suspect, but they believe an arrest will be made soon.
Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.
