A teenage brother and sister convicted of murder are both starting life prison sentences on Wednesday.

Sixteen-year-old Amber Wright and her brother, 17-year-old Kyle Hooper, were part of a group who lured Seath Jackson to a home where he was beaten, shot to death, burned, stuffed into 5-gallon paint drums and dumped into a flooded rock quarry.

WFTV's Berndt Petersen was in court as the judge sentenced the teens.

 "I am sorry for what I have done," Hooper told the judge.

"This case is the single most cold, calculated case of murder I have ever seen," said Judge David Eddy.

Eddy sentenced Hooper and his sister to life in prison for their roles in Jackson's April 2011 murder in Summerfield.

The victim's mother asked for the maximum sentence.

"You helped take Seath's life, and I hope it haunts the rest of yours," said Jackson's mother, Sonia Jackson.

Prosecutors said Hooper and Wright were part of a plot involving five people to kill Jackson and dispose of his body.

Detectives said Wright lured Jackson to the house where he was shot to death.

The defendant's mother asked for mercy, but Eddy would have none of it, intending to make sure the brother and sister never get out of prison.

"It is the intention of this court that you not be eligible for parole," said Eddy.

Four of the five defendants in the case have been sentenced to life in prison. The accused shooter, Michael Bargo, stands trial later this year.
