On Friday, Tymber Skan Condominiums managers sent a warning to residents - pay the bills or the water could soon be shut off.

The complex sits along Texas Avenue in Orlando, and includes nearly 50 buildings and 300 units.

All of those units are in jeopardy of being condemned if a huge water bill is not paid.

"This is very serious. It is extremely serious," said complex manager, and resident, Jo Ann Porter.

For Porter, the issue threatens her job and her home.  She said Tymber Skan owes the Orlando Utilities Commission more than $12,000 in back water bills. Many residents or condo owners aren't paying their bills.

"If you don't pay that's what happens. If you don't pay your bill, you get shut down, you get cut off," said Porter.

Porter said she believes that within weeks the problem will reach its tipping point. She said that's why the memo went out to residents.

In some cases tenants have complained that they pay their landlords for water but the money is not passed along to the management office.

"Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of tenants here that are paying, and they're the ones getting hurt," said Porter.

The complex is about 50 percent vacant and many who moved left unpaid dues and utility bills behind.

Condominium managers said that all they can do is plead.

"Please, please, please pay the water bills," said Porter,

Earlier in December, Tymber Skan was only able to pay half of the outstanding water bill to OUC.
