DELTONA, Fla. —
A man was arrested after biting a deputy who was responding to a criminal mischief call at a Deltona home, authorities said.
Deputies said Jesus Valentin, 31, was bleeding from his face when they found him at the home Tuesday night.
They said he became combative, and when they tried to hold him down, he bit one of the deputies in the arm.
Valentin tried to run away, but was shot by a Taser and arrested.
The deputy went to the hospital for the bite wound, but wasn't seriously hurt.
Valentin is in the Volusia County Jail.
