Deneige Broom joined the Eyewitness News team in January 2013.

The Seminole County native was very excited for the opportunity to get back to the area and cover news important to her hometown.

Deneige’s career began in Tallahassee, Fla., at WCTV. She was initially hired as a bureau reporter in Valdosta, Ga., where she was responsible for covering seven counties in south Georgia.

She was quickly promoted to her last position as an anchor/reporter in Tallahassee and she spent about three years at the weekend morning anchor desk and hitting the streets in north Florida and south Georgia to report on what mattered most to the public.

Deneige also produced and anchored a 30-minute sports shows on Saturday mornings during the fall for WTLH, while in Tallahassee.

Deneige is a proud Florida State Seminole and loves college football.  She covered sports extensively while at FSU and was a sideline reporter for ESPNU during home football games.

Between college and the “official” start of her journalism career, Deneige lived in Madrid, Spain, working as a teacher. There, she became fluent in Spanish.

Deneige loves exploring, whether it’s trying a new restaurant or travelling the globe. She also enjoys cooking, Latin dancing and painting.
