ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —
A student at Full Sail University in Winter Park stabbed another student during a class on Thursday, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators said a Hispanic male student began shouting racial remarks before walking up to a black male student and stabbing him with a sharp object. Investigators said he may have used a screwdriver.
The victim was not seriously injured and refused to be transported to the hospital. He was treated at the scene, deputies said.
Deputies arrested Xavier Nunez and charged him with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. They said the crime is classified as a hate crime, which will enhance the charge.
