The Volusia County Sheriff's Office has released surveillance video of a man they said stole a $7,000 necklace from a booth at a flea market.

The video, from the Daytona Beach Flea Market, shows a man spending several minutes standing around and leaning on a jewelry case.

In the video the man appears to slowly open the back of the display case, stopping at times when people walked by.

The man is then seen reaching quickly into the back of the case and removing something.

Investigators said the man took a necklace and then slipped back into the crowd at the flea market.

The theft took place at Oscar's Estate Jewelry late Saturday morning, deputies said.

Deputies said the man is in his mid-20s to early 30s. He is between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall and is heavyset. He has brown hair that is cut short and a beard, but no mustache.
