ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —
Deputies in Orange County are still on the hunt for the gunman in an early morning shooting that sent one man to the hospital Friday.
It all started around 3:30 a.m. when the 31-year-old victim was in the parking lot of an apartment complex along Aloma Avenue when three other men pulled up in a vehicle, got out and started arguing with him, according to deputies.
Deputies said one of the men got in a fist fight with the man, and then an eyewitness said one of the men pulled out a gun and started firing.
Deputies said the 31-year-old may have been shot six times before stumbling in the middle of the road.
That's when a cab driver at the Race Trac gas station noticed the man and drove over to him to block oncoming traffic from hitting him. Employees at the gas station called 911.
The victim underwent still in surgery at Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Police are still looking for the men who sped off in a champagne-colored, four-door sedan. Deputies do not know the make or model of that vehicle.
Deputies are interviewing witnesses to get a description of the men.
The name of the victim has not been released. No further details have been released.
