A 911 call revealed new details Wednesday night about a bizarre murder in DeLand.

The body of Bonnie Sue Burns, 42, was found inside her car just a few miles from her home Tuesday morning.

A friend found her body on Eighth Avenue, near Magnolia Road, according to investigators.

Then she mad a frantic call to 911. "I see her car down the block. I think she's dead in the car. She's blue!" said the caller.

Investigators said Burns was slumped over inside her small, red Ford Escort.

Deputies first called her death suspicious, but Wednesday they ruled it a homicide.

"I went past there and actually I seen the car with no one in it. It was kind of weird," said neighbor Joe Kaczuska.

Kaczuska said school children wait for the bus at the intersection. He said he was surprised to see deputies, and then shocked to learn a woman was found murdered near her home.

The 911 caller said Burns has recently been sick. "She hasn't been feeling good and she's been getting dizzy. That's why I went out to look for her," said the caller.

Investigators aren't saying how she died or why they think it was homicide.

Burns' home was decorated for the holidays and when WFTV reporter Jeff Deal knocked on the door, a man who answered told him it was not a good time to talk.

Burns does have previous arrests on her record and may have been involved in domestic disputes in the past.
