VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. —
WFTV learned a driver is facing several citations for allegedly hitting a Volusia County high school student with a car as the boy was getting off a school bus.
Witnesses said the bus had its flashers and stop sign activated around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday on South Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach Shores when William Sullivan, of Ormond Beach, hit the student.
Officials said the Atlantic High School student was taken to the hospital with a broken leg, but he is expected to recover.
