CENTRAL FLORIDA —

Florida Highway Patrol troopers spent Thanksgiving cracking down on I-4 speeders driving on Central Florida roads Thursday.

State troopers said they used an aircraft to monitor I-4 in Orange County, and dozens of drivers were clocked going over the speed limit.

In some cases, troopers said drivers were going about 20 miles over the speed limit.

Troopers said the average speed was 75 mph on a 55 mph road, and if pulled over, that equals a $270 ticket.

FHP said they have another speed zone scheduled for Friday morning and afternoon in Volusia County, and another on Saturday on SR-417 in Osceola County.
