Gov. Rick Scott was at Planet Hollywood's corporate headquarters Thursday to announce 90 new job positions that are coming to Orlando.

Scott said it is proof that he's delivering on his promise to create jobs across the state.

Scott and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer set aside partisan differences to announce the positions at Planet Hollywood's new corporate headquarters on Millenia Boulevard in Orlando.

"This is the place you want to be in Florida, this is the tourism capital of the world. Orlando is the tourism capital of the world," said Scott.

The announcement comes one day before the capital jobs report of 2012 is to be released.

"In the first two years, unemployment has gone from 11.1 percent to 8.1 percent. We'll see on Friday how we did for the month of December," Scott said.

But WFTV found out some of the positions will not be filled by locals as the company moves its restaurant chains, Earl of Sandwich and Bucca di Beppo, from their current corporate location in Minneapolis.

Dyer said regardless, adding to the tax base is still a win.

"One job is a huge thing, but 90 jobs, high-value, high-wage, working together for the state of Florida and city of Orlando, this is what DC needs a little bit of," Dyer said.
