LADY LAKE, Fla. —
Nikita Goodson was trusted to go into the Meadow Oak Community and take care of an elderly patient with dementia as a home health nurse, but Lady Lake police said she admitted to stealing from him.
According to police reports, Goodson stole $1,000 cash out of the man's safe.
The report said she pawned the man's jewelry and used his credit cards to buy clothes online and had them delivered to his address.
"I think that is horrible. For someone to do that they must not have a conscience at all about the elderly," said area resident Virginia Franklin.
Goodson didn't answer the door when WFTV's Renee Stoll stopped by her house, but on her Facebook page was a posting saying she was only talking to her lawyer.
Lady Lake police said they believe there could be more victims, not only in this community but other communities where Goodson was a home health care nurse.
