MARION COUNTY, Fla. —

The Audubon Society is looking for help with its annual bird count in Marion County.

The society said it's looking for people with boats to help count wading birds in two rivers in the southwestern part of the county.

An Audubon spokesman said a number of migrating birds are in the area this time of year and the organization plans to document and count the birds they see.

The annual bird count is scheduled for Jan. 3.
