ORANGE CITY, Fla. —
Eyewitness News found out a Volusia County man ran over his wife in a freak accident.
It happened at an animal clinic in Orange City.
Photos were taken by Orange City firefighters at the scene, where they said the man was backing up the car to pick up his wife when he hit her instead.
She became pinned underneath the car and rescue crews had to lift the rear axle to free her.
A medical helicopter transported her to a hospital. Officials told Eyewitness News she is expected to recover.
