Orange County Sheriff's Office released video footage Wednesday afternoon of a robber in a wig who held up a local Publix.

Deputies said the man robbed the Publix on North Orange Blossom Trail around 6 p.m. Monday night in Tangerine.

The video shows the suspect in a blue collared shirt and white cap walking up to the teller at the customer service desk.

Investigators said he handed the woman a note that said he was armed and demanding cash.

The video shows the teller open the cash register, take money out and hand it to the suspect.

After the man took off through the front door and was out of sight, the teller called for help.

By the time anyone got outside, the suspect was already gone.

Investigators said the suspect is 6 foot 5 inches tall and 300 pounds.
