KISSIMMEE, Fla. —
Kissimmee Police are stepping up patrols for the holiday season.
Starting Friday, officers will be patrolling stores and the downtown area to help prevent thefts and other crimes.
The police chief said they are trying to break the cycle of higher crime during the holidays.
The increased patrol will last through the end of the year.
