George Zimmerman is now free to leave Seminole County – but only to visit his attorney in Orlando.

Judge Kenneth Lester on Friday granted Zimmerman's request to be allowed to visit his lawyer's office in Orange County, WFTV reporter Daralene Jones reports.

"I'll grant him the authority to go to your office and consult with you,'' Lester told Zimmerman's attorney, Mark O'Mara. "And he has to have an itinerary. He can't say I'm going to Mr. West's office, on this day, and I'll return some time this day.''

When Zimmerman crosses the Orange County line, he can only visit his attorney's offices. Anything outside of that, he has to get special permission from the court.

Zimmerman is facing second-degree murder charges for killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in a neighborhood confrontation in Sanford in February.

Zimmerman has been in hiding since last month, when he got out of jail on bond.

His attorneys said he's living in a small house, with his wife, Shellie, and barely goes outside because he fears for his safety.

Zimmerman has to submit an itinerary to officials who are monitoring the GPS device he wears.

On Friday his attorneys persuaded the judge that it's too hard for them to repeatedly travel from their offices in Orlando to Zimmerman's hiding place in Seminole County, as they prepare him for trial.

Zimmerman got another break on Friday because the judge said prosecutors cannot have his full medical history until the judge reviews it.

Prosecutors already have a three-page report describing Zimmerman's head injuries he said he suffered the night of his confrontation with Trayvon Martin during which he shot the unarmed teenager. Zimmerman said he suffered the injuries when Martin bashed his head into the concrete.

"You know we take these matters on principal,'' O'Mara said. "If they were your records I would say the same thing. You don't waive every right just because you're a criminal defendant.''
