Today in Seminole County, some voters waited up to two hours to cast their ballots.

“This place has been packed. It’s (the line) been around the corner every day this week. In fact, one day I came by twice. It was just too long a line,” said early voter Brian Frohne.

Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Mike Ertel said he expects even longer waits on Saturday.

“The final two days of early voting are always, always the most compact and the most busy. So today and tomorrow, expect very long lines,” said Ertel.

But Ertel said it should be smooth sailing on Election Day on Tuesday, when the county goes from five early voting sites to 80 precincts.

The long wait is why some voters and the Democratic Party of Florida wanted early voting extended through Sunday.

“Gov. Scott is the one to extend the time, which can’t hurt. We need it. Look at the line here. We need it, you know?” said early voter Keith Murphy.

Elections officials said Saturday will likely be the busiest early voting day of the election.
