The Orlando Magic introduced Rob Hennigan as their new general manager at a press conference on Thursday. 

"As we were going through our process we were looking for an individual, a leader who would bring championship organization experience, was a great strategist and brought with him a sound system, an approach to evaluating talent," Orlando Magic Chief Executive Officer Alex Martins said when introducing Henningan.

Hennigan, 30, from the Oklahoma City Thunder, will take the position last held by Otis Smith. The Magic made the announcement on Wednesday.

Hennigan spent the past four years with Oklahoma City. He served as assistant general manager there the past two years.

The Thunder are currently playing the Miami Heat for the NBA championship.

Prior to his time with Oklahoma City, he was with the San Antonio Spurs when they won two NBA championships.

"There's no question there's pressure. This is a pressure business, and you know, you've got to earn your keep. Nobody's going to try to do any favors for you. We're just goint to keep our head down, keep our sleeves rolled up and get to work," said Hennigan.

The first two orders of business for the new general manager will be hiring the team's next head coach and contacting Dwight Howard to find out whether or not he wants to stay with the Magic.
