Man accused of stabbing parents arrested after chase

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. —

A man accused of trying to murder his parents was finally caught after leading deputies on a high-speed chase through three counties.

Deputies caught 28-year-old Thomas Fey around 10 p.m. Tuesday after a high-speed chase through Orange, Lake and Sumter counties.

He was finally caught on State Road 50 in Hernando County, just over the Sumter County line.

Volusia County investigators traveled to Hernando County to question him.

Fey is accused of stabbing his parents in their home last Saturday in their Deltona home, and had been on the run since.

The victims were released from the hospital Tuesday night.

Fey is facing two counts of attempted murder.

As of Wednesday morning, it is still unclear when Fey will be returned to Volusia County to face charges.
