Man convicted in beating over Xbox game loses appeal

VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. —

A Volusia County man convicted of beating six people to death with a baseball bat over an Xbox game lost his appeal to overturn his death sentence.

On Wednesday, a judge ruled Jerone Hunter failed to present evidence that he wasn't fit to stand trial.

Hunter was 18 years old at the time of the crime. His co-defendant, Troy Victorino, is also appealing his death sentence.
