DELTONA, Fla. —
A natural gas leak led to the evacuation of seven homes in Deltona Tuesday, according to Volusia County officials.
Construction workers said they accidentally ruptured a six-inch gas line Tuesday morning on Deltona Boulevard near Normandy Street, which was shut down.
Officials said the leak is under the road, so it could take a few hours to fix.
Residents were allowed back into their homes later Tuesday afternoon.
