Rollins College wants to build a new $10 million stadium in hopes of luring a team to Winter Park.

The school is targeting the Brevard County Manatees, an affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.

The current stadium holds less than 1,000 people, but the proposed $11 million dollar baseball complex would hold more than six times as many people.

David Goldberg, a freshman outfielder at Rollins College, said the new stadium would be a major asset for the college and the surrounding area.

"I think it would be a great way to bring baseball back to Central Florida," said Goldberg.

School officials are still trying to line up investors and get local governments to sing on.

School administrators said any big changes are at least a couple years out.
