Officials: Marion man shot at deputies during domestic violence call

MARION COUNTY, Fla. —

A Marion County man opened fire on deputies who went to his home in response to a domestic violence call, investigators said.

Investigators said 50-year-old Richard Braccia started shooting at the deputies when they approached his home, just after midnight Tuesday.

The window of a deputy cruiser was shattered and the door was riddled with bullets.

Braccia was arrested after a short standoff, deputies said.

No one was injured during the incident.
