Deputies said Ijahka Williams had a thing for flashy jewelry, and when Williams was slain, his killer stole his jewelry. They hope that if they can locate the jewelry, they'll also be able to find the killer.

Williams was found slain in a home in the 4700 block of Lake Sharpe drive earlier this week.

"It's an Avian and Company, men's stainless steel watch. It's got approximately 12 karats worth of diamonds along the face and the edges, along with mother of pearl in between the diamonds on the face," said Corp. Jason McMullen of the Orange County Sheriff's Office, describing a watch believed taken by Williams' killer.

According to family members there are only a few watches like this one Williams had, "so it should be very recognizable," said McMullen.

Investigators said a ring Williams had is also eye-catching, "with several small diamonds on top of the ring," said McMullen.

Deputies said they found the dark blue Mercuray Villager van that was seen leaving the scene of the homicide.

Investigators said that they don't have much to go on in the case. But they're hoping the jewelry will help them track down the killer and get him off the streets.

"I think if we find out who's in possession of it, and find out how they came in possession, it will help us solve the case," said McMullen.

Investigators have not released a motive nor have they said how the victim was killed.
