It's been six days since police say a burglar broke into a Kissimmee home and fondled a 7-year-old girl and 24 hours since the crime was made public, but there's still no arrest.

Kissimmee officers went door to door Friday in the Orange Gardens subdivision, showing residents the composite sketch of a thin, young man between the ages of 18 and 22 with brown, wavy hair. They say he broke into a home in the middle of the night, and then fondled a girl who lived there.

Police were hoping residents in the Orange Gardens would recognize the man.

"I've never seen this guy before, not around here, or any place," said neighbor John Pryor, when shown a composite sketch of the man.

Pryor said he hopes someone else in the neighborhood does recognize the man.

"When someone can walk in your home at 2 o'clock in the morning and assaults children, or anybody as far as that goes, the community needs to get together and see what can be done to protect themselves and their families," said Pryor.

Police said all their initial leads went nowhere.

They gave the child some time to recover from the attack, and then worked with her on the sketch.

Police have stepped up patrols, but the families who live in the neighborhood are on edge.

The man was last seen in a blue polo shirt, dark blue jeans and brown work boots sometime Saturday night or Sunday morning.

The burglar is described as a white or Hispanic man standing 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches.
