ORLANDO, Fla. —
Orlando police said they have arrested the man who intentionally let his dog attack a Lake Eola swan.
Police said a woman saw 51-year-old Lawrence Labonte take his dachshund's leash off and let it go after a swan on March 3.
The $500 swan was so badly injured it had to be euthanized.
After further investigation, police said they determined Labonte allowed the attack to happen.
He was arrested in Seminole County on Saturday and has since bonded out of jail. He is facing charges of animal cruelty and animal fighting.
