St. Cloud police have released a composite sketch of the suspect who stabbed a worker outside a fast-food restaurant during an attempted robbery.

Detectives said the man approached a Subway employee outside of the restaurant on 13th Street shortly before midnight Thursday night.

Police said the suspect demanded money and tried to steal the employee's cell phone.

The employee tried to run away, but the robber stabbed the worker with a knife and then took off, according to police.

The victim was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in stable condition.

Police said the suspect is described as a heavy set Hispanic male, with a mild Spanish accent. The man is about 6 feet tall, with dark hair and a graying beard.
