President Obama was greeted with cheers at his second campaign stop in Central Florida in less than 24 hours.

The president took the stage at the Charles & Ruth Clemente Center on the Florida Institute of Technology campus in Melbourne around 11:55 a.m. The weekend's campaign events are part of Obama's two-day bus tour through the state of Florida.

The Melbourne crowd heard familiar themes from Obama, like more taxes for the wealthy to avoid taxes for the middle class.

"Higher taxes on incomes over $250,000 to help reduce our deficit," Obama told his supporters.

Obama responded to Mitt Romney's theme that Americans are not better off since the Obama presidency began.

"There's not another country on Earth that wouldn't trade places with the United States, so I promise you our problems can be solved," Obama said.

Romney's campaign issued an email response to the speech, saying Obama could not claim that Obamacare does not take more than $700 billion from Medicare.

The president pressed on with a call for action from the enthusiastic crowd.

"Florida you can't turn back now. We can't give in to the cynicism the other side is peddling. The American people cannot be stopped, and I tell you we've got a lot more work to do," Obama said.

In Kissimmee on Saturday, more than 3,000 enthusiastic supporters cheered as Obama spoke about heavily about creating jobs and expanding businesses in Florida.

"We can start giving tax breaks to companies that are opening new plants, training new workers and creating new jobs here in Florida, here in Kissimmee," Obama said.

Tickets for both campaign events were free and were given out on a first come, first serve basis.

Obama kicked off the two-day bus tour following several days in Charlotte for the Democratic National Convention.

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney and his running mate, Paul Ryan, were planning to be off the campaign trail Sunday, although both men taped appearances on several Sunday talk shows.
