DELTONA, Fla. —
An SUV and a bus from a private day care crashed in Volusia County.
The accident happened Thursday afternoon at Saxon Boulevard and East Normandy Boulevard in Deltona.
According to investigators, the SUV, driven by 21-year-old Kyerria Jarrells, ran a red light just prior to the collision.
Deputies cited Jarrells for failure to stop at a red light and driving with a suspended license.
Jarrells was flown to Halifax Medical Center.
There were 28 children on the bus. Investigators said some of the children suffered minor bumps and scratches.
