ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —
A Chicago-based company in the middle of a scandal is the frontrunner to get a $16 million contract to expand Orange County's red light camera program.
Eyewitness News reported last month thatRedflex Traffic Systems, which operates 20 cameras in Osceola County, was accused of corruption.
An Osceola attorney said if Redflex is found to have done anything illegal, it could get current red light camera cases thrown out.
Redflex has outscored every other competitor vying for Orange County's contract.
