LONGWOOD, Fla. —
There's still no sign of the man who shot and killed a Seminole County man during a Super Bowl party, according to Longwood police.
Police said it all started with an argument at a home near the intersection of U.S. 17/92 and State Road 434 in Longwood Sunday afternoon.
Police said a verbal argument started between the resident and a guest. The guest shot the resident, 25-year-old Donnie Shepard in the back and then ran off. Police said a second man also ran out of the apartment with him.
Bloodhounds canvassed the usually quiet neighborhood as police went door to door talking to neighbors and looking for clues to what happened.
"They haven't been very helpful at this point in time; everyone is shaken up," said Troy Hickson, Longwood Police Chief.
"I heard a bunch of screaming, then I saw two dark skin males run that way, and one was wearing a hat," said Bevonte Boswell, an eyewitness.
People who live near the victim are worried.
“I’m not used to people getting shot right across the street from me. It's pretty scary, especially when you got kids and family,” said neighbor Angie Boswell.
Shepard was transported to Seminole South Hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials said.
Officers said they're following some leads, but haven't said what started the fight.
The suspects are described as two unknown black males. One suspect is described as a black male, approximately twenty years of age, at least 6 feet tall, approximately 300lbs, with a scruffy beard, and braids in his hair. He was wearing a black and red ball cap. The second unknown black male was of average height, average build. He was wearing blue jeans, plaid shirt and was clean shaven.
Police said the two unknown black males arrived in a small burgundy, two-door vehicle with no window tint and stock rims. Witnesses advise the paint job was after market, possibly a dark candy red paint, police said.
