ORLANDO, Fla. —
The Orlando Police Department is asking the public's help in identifying a man accused of two ambush-style robberies in Baldwin Park over the last 10 days.
Police said the man robbed a woman, stealing her cellphone about 10:15 p.m. on Oct. 27 along the bike path near Almond Avenue and Lake Baldwin Lane.
Then, on Nov. 1 shortly before 10 p.m., a man matching the same description robbed another woman of her cellphone as she walked on the sidewalk along Lake Baldwin Lane.
No weapons were seen during either robbery, but police said the man threatened to stab one of the victims if she didn't comply.
The robber is described as Hispanic, standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds.
He appears to be between 25-35 years old and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, long, dark shorts and a ball cap.
He fled on a black bicycle in both incidents, police said.
