I joined the Eyewitness News team in June of 2003 as a general assignment reporter. My stories air each weekday beginning at 5am. I'm on basically all day, with live reports in the mornings and taped or live segments throughout the day on WFTV and WRDQ.

I have lived in Florida for decades. Moving here in high school to attend Northeast High in St. Petersburg. I've also lived in Sauk Prairie, Wisconsin, and Champaign, Illinois. I have a BA in Communication (Radio/TV/Film) from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. It was there that I began my TV career working at WSAW in Wausau, Wisconsin, getting my feet wet (and snowy) as a news photographer.

From there, I returned to Florida and have worked for several TV stations here over the  past two decades, including WPTV in West Palm Beach, as well as WTVT and WFTS in Tampa.

During my career I've worked as a reporter, photographer, editor, director, producer and managing editor. I'm lucky to have been honored with numerous awards: 6 Emmys, 2 Associated Press awards, a Green Eyeshade award, and more than a dozen other awards from the Society of Professional Journalists.

I have covered Florida from every angle. I was one of the first reporters on the scene at Kennedy Space Center after the Columbia disaster. I was also one of the first reporters into the flood waters of Hurricane Katrina, and have ridden out more than a dozen storms including Charley, Frances, Jeanne, Wilma, Fay and Gustav. I've extensively covered the Caylee Anthony Saga and the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case.
