VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. —
A 24-year-old man is recovering after being bitten by a shark off the coast of Ponce Inlet in Volusia County Thursday morning.
Beach Patrol officials said the man, who's from Holmes Beach, was surfing near the jetty in about 6 to 8 feet of water when a shark bit his foot.
Officials said the bite is minor. The victim was treated at the beach.
