POLK COUNTY, Fla. —
A teacher is behind bars, accused of an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Deputies arrested 36-year-old Dale Pennington, a teacher at Ridge Community High School in Davenport.
Pennington admitted to deputies that since May, he sexted and emailed a 16-year-old girl he taught last year.
Deputies believe there are other victims.
"We don't think you wake up at 36 years of age and do this for the very first time," said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd
School officials said they sent out phone messages to parents about the incident.
