ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —
An Orange County school teacher, fired after allegations that she made threats, wanted to tell her side of the story. Liudmila Parker is so confident she did nothing wrong she sat down with Eyewitness News reporter Kenneth Craig to tell her side.
"Everything is based on lies," said Parker.
Parker, who taught English as a second language at Dr. Phillips High School, was fired last spring for allegedly sending threatening emails making alarming comments about shooting up the school.
Parker has been in a court battle with the district since her firing.
Just days ago a judge ordered that her termination be upheld.
"These documents paint you out to be a monster," Craig said to Parker.
"They painted me like this. I am not surprised," said Parker.
Parker is alleged to have made the threats to her assistant principal, at one point saying, "I have people who will take care of me and I have people that will take care of you."
In an email she is alleged to have written, "Earlier or later, we all have to pay for what we have done."
"This phrase is from Oscar Wilde plays," Parker told Craig.
One week after being suspended from her job, the school district alleges Parker said, "She could understand why teachers "resort to extreme measures" by shooting up school systems."
"I didn't say 'shoot up,' but understand how some teachers can be very desperate," Parker told Craig. "I am not violent. Is anybody dead there? No."
Parker said she was harassed and discriminated against by the district because of her age and because she's from the Ukraine.
She said all of her alleged threats were taken out of context and that she now plans to file a lawsuit.
Parker was investigated and suspended in 2010 following allegations she made the threats and for alleged intimidating behavior toward students.
