Teen accused of shooting at friend following argument

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. —

A teenager spent his Christmas in jail after police said he tried to shoot his friend following an argument.

Deputies said 19-year-old Jason Peters fired two shots at the 18-year-old victim outsidethe victim's house off Robinson Drive in Palm Coast on Saturday night.

Investigators said Peters then took off and got rid of his .45 caliber revolver.

Deputies said that while they were talking with the victim, he received a text message from Peters telling him: "You're dead."

Peters was caught shortly afterwards, and police found the gun.

Peters was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and shooting a deadly missile into an occupied dwelling.

He was transported to the Flagler County Inmate Facility where he remained in custody on a $20,000 bond.
