ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —
Troopers said they are looking for the driver who hit and killed a pedestrian and left the scene early Sunday morning.
The Orange County crash happened on Hiawassee Road near Hiawassee Spring Lane around 1:00 a.m.
Troopers told WFTV they believe the victim may have stumbled onto the roadway from the median before being hit. Fire rescue crews pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
According to troopers, the victim is an adult white male who has not been identified.
FHP officials said troopers are working to determine what type of vehicle hit the man.
Hiawassee Road was shut down for more than an hour while the crash was investigated. The road has since reopened.
