FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. —
WFTV found out that it will be at least another week before a preliminary report is released on what caused a plane to crash into a home in Flager County.
The single-engine prop plane slammed into the house on Utica Path Friday, killing the three people on board.
A Palm Coast community held a vigil Sunday night for the three victims, who were from Indiana and Kentucky.
Candles and flowers adorned the home where Charisse Peoples, Duane Shaw and Michael Aners lost their lives.
"It is very sad for anyone to lose their life, whether you know them or not," said neighbor Ashley Brewer.
Susan Crockett was in her bedroom Friday when the single-engine plane crashed into her home.
Crockett's 20-year-old daughter said her mother's survival was nothing short of a miracle.
"It's nothing but God, the fact that my mom survived, the fact that she was able to get out," said Jessica Crockett.
She said that because of their proximity to the Flagler airport, her mother knew immediately that it was a plane that struck the house.
"The planes get really loud because they fly really low, but you never thought it would actually happen," said Jessica Crockett.
Susan Crockett jumped out of a window to escape the flames.
Shaw, Peoples and Anders were flying from South Florida to Knoxville, Tenn. when they reported mechanical problems and poor visibility.
"If this happened to us, I would like to think somebody would show support for us and any one in the family that is left with the grieving process," said neighbor Ralph Ashley.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
