A woman who was arrested on a warrant from 27 years ago is out of jail and is now working to clear her name.

In 1985, Corrine Cash stole money from a store she managed and was sentenced to pay restitution.  

Cash thought she had taken care of everything and even paid some of it back, but a Seminole County deputy discovered the warrant and arrested her.

Cash said she has been pulled over, had her license renewed and even passed a background check at her job, and none of them revealed the warrant, which is why she can’t figure out why it's now coming to light.

“I’ve been going through hell,” Cash said. “I just didn't understand it. I'm still in a state of shock, and I don't understand it."

Cash is a surgical assistant for Florida Hospital, where she's worked for 25 years, and right now she is concerned about her job.

“I guess they got my job on hold,” she said. “I not too long ago talked to them. I have to explain to them what really happened. Twelve days in jail, from Seminole County to Pinellas County to Leon County.”

Cash is scheduled to appear in court again in January and hopes to have the situation resolved.
