Man Accused Of Killing Baby May Have Sexually Assaulted Her

Orange County detectives were looking into allegations that a father, arrested for murdering his baby, also sexually assaulted her.

John Murphy, 21, is facing second-degree murder and child abuse charges in the death of 1-year-old Serenity Watson.

Detectives said Murphy was watching the baby and then got violent when Serenity would not stop crying and pulled his hair.

The child's mother told investigators that Murphy may have also raped the girl.
