Man Says Image Of Jesus Appears In Tree In His Front Yard

As dusk falls and the shadows get longer, Joe Lewis' soul begins to stir. He's convinced at that time of day, Jesus pays him a visit. Joe says he sees him in a tree. Seriously. In the trunk of a tree.

"In daylight, you only see the knot in the tree," said Lewis. "Once it's dark and the street lights are on, the shadow is cast over the tree."

Lewis is a personal trainer in Winter Park who lives with his girlfriend in the house at 8200 Saragoza Court (see map). The house is in the Dr. Phillips area of Orlando.

The knot on the tree faces the home . Lewis and his girlfriend first saw the image about six months ago as the sun began to set.

"It's pretty cool," he said. "If you look closely, you can see his knees and feet."

You can't see the image from the street. But Lewis felt it was worth sharing. He enjoys sitting outside at twilight, smoking a cigar, and gazing at his tree.

"It feels like you are hanging out with Jesus," he said.
