LONGWOOD, Fla. —
The state received a tip that Ansley was working at the Oasis Lounge as an unlicensed security guard. When agents arrested him, he was wearing a uniform shirt that read "metro enforcement" and was carrying a 9-millimeter Glock, taser and a badge reading "chief."
Ansley maintains he can work as a security officer and plans to fight it in court.
"The owner hires in-house security, not an agency. Therefore it is not under the Department of Agriculture," said Ansley.
According to Florida guidelines, individuals and agencies must be licensed. Also, if a security officer carries a firearm, he has to have a second license and carry it openly.
