The note is addressed to the public from Melinda Duckett and reads in part, ""You created rumors and twisted words. Usually I am strong and what others say does not affect me."
It goes on to say, ""He was and always will be my essence and as he grows, I want him to know that."

Investigators believe that line may indicate 2-year-old Trenton Duckett is alive.
Trenton was reported missing by his mother, Melinda nearly a month ago. She told police he'd been take from their Leesburg home. But investigators have not found the boy and in a strange twist, Melinda Duckett shot herself to death in the home of her parents about two weeks ago.
Police have named her the prime suspect in her son's disappearance but believe the letter implies he's still alive. Joshua Duckett, Melinda's estranged husband and Trenton's father, has maintained he doesn't believe Melinda would harm the child. Joshua Duckett has speculated his wife gave the child to someone else so he, Joshua, couldn't get hold of him.
