LONGWOOD, Fla. —
Andrea Williams Appears In N.C. Court The story begins back in January of 2003. She supposedly had met someone in a chatroom on the Internet.
At first, Gary Williams says he didn't realize his wife Andrea had begun a relationship with another woman over the Internet. The couple separated and Andrea soon invited her new friend to Florida last summer. They lived together in Longwood throughout the Summer of 2003.
A few months later, the relationship between the women became another battle for the Williams children to witness.
"It's no good. If she wants a lifestyle like that, leave them out of it. They have nothing to do with it," says Gary Williams.
He says he tried to convince a court last October that his children were placed in the middle of a dangerous situation. Andrea was hospitalized twice after suicide attempts; she was distraught because her live-in girlfriend moved back to North Carolina.
That other woman, Ashley Bishop, told the Charlotte Observer that, during a fight, Andrea Williams said, "Well, here's what I'm going to do, you can feel guilty for it. I'm going to kill my kids, because they don't need to suffer like I have and then I'm going to kill myself."
Months passed and things started to get better, according to Gary Williams. That is, until this weekend.
"I asked, 'Would you like the kids for Mother's Day weekend?' She said, yes, she was going to take 'em camping," Gary says.
That camping trip was actually a trip to North Carolina, to ask Ashley Bishop to return to Florida. Gary Williams received a desperate call from Ashley on Sunday.
"Andrea came there, started getting real mean. Beat her up and the kids weren't with her. She said she'd take the kids life as well as hers," comments Gary.
It's believed that, after the fight in North Carolina, Andrea returned to Longwood, killed the children, and then went back to North Carolina to confront Ashley again.
