ORLANDO, Fla. —
A man who fatally shot three women inside a salon before killing himself had stolen a car from a man who was found dead inside a Gatlin Avenue home, Orlando police said Tuesday.
Police said Bradford Baumet, 36, walked into Las Dominicanas M & M Salon in Casselberry on Oct. 18 and shot his ex-girlfriend, Marcia Santiago, 44, who survived.
Baumet then shot and killed three other women before going to a friend’s home in Winter Park and killing himself.
Newly obtained video shows Baumet prior to the shooting, once in a McDonald’s drive-through near the salon (watch video) and another at the Metro PCS in the same strip mall as the hair salon (watch video).
Police said they have since learned that Baumet stole Roberto Colon's car the day of the shootings.
Officers said they found Colon, 28, slain inside a Gatlin Avenue home Friday night after police said they were asked to check on him.
Officers, however, will not confirm whether they believe Baumet was also responsible for Colon’s death. Police also haven’t said how Colon knew Baumet.
“It's a tragedy. When they told me about it, I felt bad, though, because he never looked for trouble with nobody. Everybody liked him," said neighbor Miguel Torres.
Neighbors also said Colon was very friendly and would loan his cars to people all the time.
Prior to the shootings, Baumet was served with a domestic violence injunction on Oct. 9 and was due in court the same week of the shootings.
Santiago remains hospitalized.
