ORLANDO, Fla. —
The family of a missing Orlando mom says her ex-fiance is not a suspect in her disappearance. The search for 33-year-old Michelle Parker continued on Sunday, with Texas Equusearch joining the efforts.
The parents of Michelle Parker told WFTV Saturday night that they believe she was the victim of a random crime. Parker’s parents also said that investigators told them Parker’s ex-fiancé, Dale Smith, is not a person of interest.
Michelle Parker was last seen Thursday afternoon when she dropped off her twins with Smith. Earlier that day Parker and Smith appeared on a previously taped episode of 'The People's Court'. In the episode the couple fought over a $5,000 engagement ring.
Dozens of family members, friends, and volunteers have conducted their own searches for Parker. A command post on the 300 block of Oak Ridge Road was set up by the family on Friday.
On Saturday Orlando police identified Belle Isle and Oak Rdige as the two areas they are extensively searching for the missing mom. Saturday's search also focused on Parker's cell phone. Police believe her iPhone could be in one of those areas, since its last signal was recorded near there on Thursday.
Police were also seen searching a field near Dale Smith's home Saturday night. However, Parker's parents told WFTV they do not believe Smith was involved in her disappearnce.
“He has fully cooperated,” said Yvonne Stewart, Parker’s mother. “They have found absolutely no evidence that there's any foul play on his part."
WFTV was also there on Friday night when police took items from Smith's home. Investigators will not say if any evidence was taken from the home.
Parker's family told WFTV they believe she was carjacked. Her black SUV was found abandoned in the Millenia area on Friday.
“If anybody has her and you're holding her hostage, please let her go,” Stewart said. “Let her come home so she can raise her babies.”
“She's a really good person,” said Dustin Erickson, Parker’s brother. “It's sad this happened to her.”
Crimeline currently has a $5,000 reward for any information leading to Michelle Parker.
Texas Equusearch, well known in Central Florida for it's Caylee Anthony searches, is expected be in Orlando to begin it's own search for Parker on Sunday.
Parker’s three children are currently staying with other family members. Family members say they will continue to search until Parker is found.
